i have a simple way to decision of problem “When homepage of the blog is a static page, translations and permalink are not working.”

its very easy:

1) In WP options (settings – reading), choose static page for index
2) plase plugin with this text in plugins directory:

3) activate plugin

this is a only for two languages – Russian & Ukrainian, but its simply to customize :-)
